Senior CONSTRUCTION PROGRAM Manager

CAP Government, Inc., is seeking a Senior Construction Program Manager to join our team . The candidate should have experience overseeing multiple construction projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Some local travel may be required for inspections and managing projects in the assigned area.

We currently have positions available in our Miami-Dade office . Talent is the essence of meeting our client's objectives, goals, and challenges. Candidates must possess excellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.

Duties, Responsibilities, and Qualifications

  • You’ll be responsible for project performance.
  • The vision for this role is to provide program leadership for the consistent, efficient, and effective delivery of the program of projects through a team-based structure.
  • Provides overall program management and is the point of contact to the client leadership team for all program and project-related elements managed.
  • Responsible for managerial and administrative aspects of a project
  • Including, estimating, scheduling, quality control, progress reports, progress billing, design review and coordination, cost reporting, safety, and proposal preparation
  • Ensure an accurate and complete project estimate
  • Work closely with owners and the design team to develop preliminary concept drawings
  • Participate in the proposal meeting with the owner to review the scope of work, discuss ways to reduce costs, and provide value engineering ideas
  • Oversee the buyout process and the selection of subcontractors
  • Conduct bi-weekly job site meetings
  • Make sound decisions under tight deadlines
  • Organize, plan and manage multiple activities to accomplish desired results
  • Commit to quality by evaluating project-related processes
  • Make necessary changes, use customer input to make improvements, and meet/exceed internal and external client expectations
  • Act in a manner of integrity that shows support for the company, its values, and other associates, while maintaining a constant focus on meeting/exceeding customer requirements and expectations
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Manager

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in building construction, construction management, civil engineering, or architecture or related field from an accredited university. A master’s degree is preferred.
  • Eight plus years of experience in mixed-use project development, management, administration, and inspection along with a demonstrated knowledge of construction, engineering, architecture principles & construction techniques
  • Skill in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in dealing with municipal agencies.
  • Professional Engineering License in Florida is preferred.
  • Registered Architect License in Florida is a plus.
  • Building Official License in Florida is a plus.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus
  • Program Management Professional (PgMP) certification is a plus.
  • Program management experience consistent with the following requirements:
  • A minimum of three (3) years of program management experience, with at least two (2) years as a Program Manager or similar role with equivalent responsibilities and;
  • Experience in leading as a Program Manager or serving in a similar role on the delivery of two or more programs, each with a capital value of $200 million or more
  • Experience delivering concurrent programs with a total value of $350 million or more qualifies as one of the required programs.;
  • Strong leadership skills with experience building a cohesive team culture and managing team members located in various locations
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Comfortable with presenting to client executives and in front of a large audience in a public setting
