Low Voltage Security Systems Designer

Now hiring a Low Voltage Security Systems Designer to join a growing team and play a key role in delivering physical security solutions! This role is ideal for a design professional with experience in physical security systems such as access control, video surveillance, and intrusion detection. As part of our team, you’ll collaborate closely with the sales team, engineers, project managers, and clients to design integrated security solutions for commercial buildings in all market sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop low voltage security systems, including access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, and intercom systems
• Produce detailed construction drawings, schematics, device layouts, riser diagrams, and system specifications
• Coordinate with project managers, electrical engineers, and technology consultants to ensure system integration
• Research and select security equipment and components that meet project requirements
• Review design documents for accuracy, compliance, and constructability
• Assist with cost estimation, bill of materials, and design proposals

Qualifications

• College degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Low Voltage Systems, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience designing low voltage or physical security systems
• Working knowledge of security technologies, codes, and industry standards (e.g., NFPA, UL, BICSI)
• Understanding of structured cabling, power requirements, and integration with building systems
• Experience with enterprise-level security platforms (Lenel, Genetec, Avigilon, etc.)
