Description:

The Electrical Engineering Technician will be responsible for the development and installation of assigned CI activities with a focus on maximizing equipment uptime. The technician will work within a team or individually with minimal supervision helping to install, troubleshoot, repair and upgrade electrical/electronic technology used within the facility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES : The essential duties and responsibilities of this job are included but not limited to this job description – other related tasks may be assigned and expected to be performed.

  • Assist with troubleshooting of electrical/electronic systems in production equipment.
  • Develop and/or implement assigned CI activities.
  • Develop or modify PLC programming.
  • Develop or modify Human Machine Interface (HMI) programming.
  • Maintain PLC network connectivity.
  • Utilize electrical testing equipment to identify electrical system anomalies. (i.e. voltage meter, ammeter, data logger)
  • Utilize electronic (control) testing equipment to identify process control issues. (i.e. thermocouple tester, analog tester)
  • Ensure CI projects are organized, and progress reported to supervisory/management staff as required.
  • Recommend safety, process, or electrical equipment improvements or upgrades.
  • Maintain electrical documents, updating or creating new as required. (i.e. electrical schematics, plc programs)

Requirements:
  • High school diploma. Associate's degree or Technical Certification preferred.
  • 5-10 years Electrical\Electronic experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment .
  • Have adequate craft knowledge and skill to accurately estimate hours and material requirements to complete assigned work.
  • Must have good written and verbal communication skills and be approachable and tactful.
  • Good math and computer skills. (i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills with attention to detail.
  • Able to read standard blueprints, machine and process drawings.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical electrical instructions and manuals.
  • Knowledge and understanding of maintenance processes.
  • Can manage multiple priorities and/or projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively with co-workers or contractors.

We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.
