Job Description

The PROCEDEO Group is seeking a full time Construction Program Manager to serve as a client representative and manage multiple design and construction projects for our higher education clients in the Houston, Texas area. The Construction Program Manager will oversee project budgeting, supervise staff and manage overall project controls. The role demands strong leadership and project management skills to deliver projects on time and within budget. This includes the financial cost, expenditures, procurement activities, and contract claims by utilizing the relevant updated information and reports provided by the Procedeo Project Controls group.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for overall project delivery (scope, cost, schedule, quality, information management) on multiple project assignments from programming and design through the entire construction phase, including its warranty period.
  • Oversee, manage, and administer contract agreements for Architect, Consultants, Contractors, all other Vendors for respective project.
  • Monitors project budgets, schedules, scope development, design and construction contracts, documents, procedures, controls and invoices for assigned projects.
  • Assist Design Manager with the design review and the CMAR cost estimate review process for the assigned projects.
  • Collaborate, communicate and problem-sole with the entire architecture/engineering and construction teams.
  • Experience Managing and coordinating the construction closeout process and warranty period.

This is a full-time, in-person position serving our clients in the Denton, Texas area. Compensation will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience. This is an exempt position under the Fair Labor Standards Act and the employee is not eligible for overtime compensation. Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Professional degree in architecture, engineering, construction management or a related field is required
  • 5+ years of experience in the program management of educational facilities, preferably for construction on higher education campuses
  • 10 years of experience in architecture or commercial construction
  • Understanding and Experience with design review and permitting
  • Experience with construction procurement and bidding
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
